Where to start???

Well I have my new camera, canon 550D and its beautiful :) where do I start? There are so many things to learn. I've only previously used my daughters digital slr and she sets it to auto and says 'just point and click Mum'. Might be a while before any pictures appear on here but I am sure I am going to have fun getting to know my camera and experimenting. If any one has any tips for a newbie they would be greatly recieved.

New camera :)

Sunday 10th October will be my birthday and I am so excited as I will be getting my first camera - Canon 550D I've only recently got into photography whilst away on holiday in Scotland, I borrowed my daughters camera and took a few photos and really enjoyed myself, I hope I am able to learn how to take photos as good as the ones I've seen on here.
